Nepal Tourism (nepal-tourism.com) is an independent online travel guide dedicated to helping travelers discover the very best of Nepal — from the towering peaks of the Everest and Annapurna regions to the ancient temples of the Kathmandu Valley, the wildlife of Chitwan, and the sacred birthplace of Buddha in Lumbini.
Who is behind this site
This site is founded, written, and edited by a Nepali traveler-founder and a small editorial effort built around first-hand knowledge of the country — the momo stalls we actually eat at, the lodges we have actually slept in (our personal Manang recommendation is a real one), and the buses, trails, and festivals of home. We are independent: we sell no tours, no packages, and take no commissions from operators — which means our answer to “is it worth it?” can be an honest no.
How we make our guides
- Every article is researched and structured for real decisions — day-by-day route tables for treks, cost breakdowns with honest ranges, and FAQs drawn from what travelers actually ask.
- Every image is verified— we check that photos genuinely show the place in Nepal they claim to (a surprising amount of “Nepal” stock photography is the Alps or Patagonia; none of it is here).
- Volatile facts are hedged — prices, visa fees, permit rules, and festival dates change, so we give current ballparks and tell you to verify, rather than pretending certainty.
- Content is maintained on a continuous cadence — articles carry updated dates when revised, seasonal guides are refreshed as their season approaches, and corrections are made promptly when readers flag them.

It is home to eight of the world's fourteen 8,000-meter peaks, ten UNESCO World Heritage places, more than a hundred ethnic groups, and some of the warmest hospitality you will find anywhere. We believe more people should experience it — and that good information makes for better, more respectful travel.
