October to November & March to May (Autumn & Spring)
The best time to visit Pokhara is during autumn (October-November) for the clearest mountain views and perfect trekking conditions. Spring (March-May) is also excellent with warm weather and blooming rhododendrons. The monsoon season (June-August) brings heavy rainfall but also lush green landscapes.
Pokhara is accessible by air and road from Kathmandu and other major cities.
Pokhara Airport has daily flights from Kathmandu (25-30 minutes). Multiple airlines operate this route with several flights per day. The airport is about 3 km from Lakeside.
Tourist buses from Kathmandu take 6-7 hours via the Prithvi Highway. Private cars and shared jeeps are also available. The journey offers scenic views of rivers and hills.
